One dead, one wounded after South Dallas shooting

One man was killed and another was wounded in a South Dallas shooting early Friday morning, police say.

Shortly after 5 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Swanson Street, near Canal Street, where they found two men had been shot while sitting inside a vehicle.

Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced one man dead at the scene. The second man was taken to a hospital, where he was deemed stable. The mens’ names were not released.
