Police have released the identities of two adults who lost their lives in an uninvolved road rage incident in Eagle Mountain.
The victims were identified as Rodney Michal Salm, 48, of Salt Lake City, and Michaela Himmleberger, a 47-year-old resident of Holladay.
The incident, which occurred Sunday afternoon started between the driver of a Nissan Maxima and the driver of a Ford F-150 at the City Center.
Officials said it then continued for five miles onto State Route 73.
The driver of the Ford F-150 allegedly entered the emergency lane and collided with the eastbound Nissan Maxima.
Officials said the Maxima abruptly braked, causing the Ford driver to lose control and veer into the westbound lane, where a head-on collision with a Porsche occurred.
