Police respond to central Toledo shooting

Toledo police were at the scene of a possible shooting just south of downtown on Saturday evening.

Citing preliminary reports, residents said they heard a gunshot and a possible victim running from the scene in the 800 block of South 13th Street.

The call came in at about 8:30 p.m. to the Port Lawrence apartments between Indiana and Avondale avenues.

No victim was at the scene where at least seven Toledo police officers were gathering information as multiple children played nearby.
