Columbia Heights shooting leaves man injured early Saturday — Northwest Washington, D.C

A man was hospitalized after being shot early Saturday in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Northwest Washington, D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Officers found a man who was conscious with a gunshot wound , police said. D.C. Fire and EMS personnel took him to the hospital for treatment.
Police did not immediately release information about the severity of the man’s injuries or the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No arrest or description of a possible suspect was announced.
