CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Cedar Rapids woman accused of shooting her boyfriend last year has now been charged with attempted murder.

A Cedar Rapids woman accused of shooting her boyfriend last year has now been charged with attempted murder.

Quintoria Baker is accused of shooting her boyfriend on September 7, 2025.

Police responded to the Budget Inn on 16th Avenue Southwest and found the victim with eight gunshot wounds.

Baker has argued she acted in self-defense in the shooting. However, investigators maintain he was not an immediate threat.
