One arrested after stabbing in Western North Carolina

Deputies in Buncombe County, North Carolina, arrested a suspect after a reported stabbing Monday morning. Police in Buncombe County, North Carolina, responded to a reported stabbing Monday.

The Woodfin Police Department said officers with Weaverville Police responded to the intersection of Old Home Road and Barton Road.

Police say witnesses saw a man assaulting a woman inside and outside of her vehicle.

Officers say the victim was stabbed multiple times and remains hospitalized in stable condition.
