Shelter in place issued in Upper Mount Bethel Twp neighborhood due to reports of a barricaded gunman

MOUNT BETHEL TWP., Pa. – A neighborhood in Northampton County has been told to shelter in place as Pennsylvania State Police respond to the report of a barricaded gunman in the area.
State Trooper Nathan Branosky said authorities were sent to the 200 block of Molly Pitcher Road around 10 a.m. Tuesday for a mental health call.
According to Branosky, an armed 58-year-old man has barricaded himself inside a home and is not listening to police instructions.
