Man out on bail on attempted murder charge arrested by NYPD for West Indian Day parade shooting

A 19-year-old man out on bail for a pending attempted murder case was arrested for shooting a man in the buttocks during Brooklyn’s annual West Indian Day Parade celebration, officials said Tuesday.

Nayshawn Wilkinson was charged with attempted manslaughter, assault and weapons possession for wounding his 24-year-old victim Monday afternoon, cops said.

The victim was struck by gunfire on Nostrand Ave. near St. Johns Place in Crown Heights — about two blocks from the parade route — at around 4 p.m., police said.

Medics rushed the wounded man to Kings County Hospital, where he’s expected to survive.
