Small plane crashes, causes power outages in Titusville, Florida
TITUSVILLE, Florida — Fire and police crews responded Monday, Sept. 7, to the site of a small airplane crash, Titusville officials said.
As of 11:30 a.m, multiple fire units were on the scene of the crash, which caused power outages in the nearby area and shut down State Road 405 (Columbia Boulevard) in both directions.
It was not immediately known if there were any injuries. The crash occurred at about 10:16 a.m. between Sisson Road and South Washington Avenue.
The unidentified aircraft’s crash prompted Florida Power and Light to cut power to nearby homes and businesses as a safety precaution, according to the Titusville Fire Department.
