Magnitude 5.5 Earthquake Strikes Southeast of Loyalty Islands

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck southeast of the Loyalty Islands on September 7 at approximately 4:50 p.m. local time.
The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers in the South Pacific, near New Caledonia.
