Robert Smith Charged With Murder After Man Found Dead in Woodville, Alabama Home

WOODVILLE, Alabama — Robert Smith, 39, has been arrested and charged with murder after deputies found a man dead inside a home on Cobb Street in Woodville, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the home shortly after midnight Monday.

Suspect Held Without Bond

When deputies arrived, they found a man dead inside the residence.

Smith was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on one count of murder. He is being held without a set bond.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity or detailed what led to the killing.
