Teen charged with road rage killing

MILWAUKEE — A Milwaukee woman has been charged in a road rage shooting.

According to a criminal complaint, 18-year-old Mariah Ruiz allegedly shot and killed 44-year-old Minerva Hernandez-Lopez during a road rage incident on the south side Monday.

Ruiz admitted to getting into a shouting match with Hernandez-Lopez, in which she threatened her. The fight escalated into a car chase.

Security video showed Hernandez-Lopez "brake checking" or backing into Ruiz's car. Ruiz then allegedly shot at the other car three times.
