Explosions and large-scale power outages reported in Crimea

A series of explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of August 21. After that, residents of several large cities reported power outages and large-scale blackouts. The explosions were reported by residents of Simferopol. According to them, more than 15 explosions were heard in the city in just 20 minutes.

Eyewitnesses also saw bright flashes in the area of the Tavria TPP. Local social media outlets reported that jet drones were flying over Simferopol in the direction of a thermal power plant. After that, reports of power outages began to arrive.
According to the partisan movement “ATESH”, the power went out in Simferopol, Sevastopol, and Dzhankoy. Later, power outages were also recorded in Kerch.
