Helicopter Was Carrying Safari Guests

The helicopter, operated by Lady Lori Helicopters, was transporting guests of luxury travel company &Beyond when it went down in rugged terrain near the popular tourist destination.

The aircraft had departed from the Loisaba area and was heading toward the Ewaso Nyiro River region.

The U.S. State Department confirmed that four American citizens were killed and said it was providing consular assistance to their families.

Kenya’s Air Accident Investigation Department is investigating the crash. Authorities have not yet determined what caused the helicopter to go down.
