An AMBER Alert has been issued for 4-year-old Zola Cooper and her 11-month-old sister, Norah Cooper, after Atlanta police said their babysitter, 42-year-old Lakesha Brown, allegedly abducted them.

Authorities believe Brown may be traveling with the children in a white 2009 Ford F-350 displaying Alabama license plate IC087Y4. The girls are considered to be in extreme danger.

Children Last Seen in Atlanta

Zola and Norah were last seen with Brown at about 6 p.m. Saturday near 356 James P. Brawley Drive NW in Atlanta, Georgia.

Investigators said the vehicle may be traveling toward southwest Atlanta.

Norah is approximately 2 feet tall and weighs 28 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes, is missing two fingers on her right hand and was wearing a pink onesie.

Zola is approximately 3 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 42 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a multicolored dress.

Babysitter Stopped Responding

A family member said Brown sent messages Sunday claiming she was taking the children to Walmart. She later reportedly said they had been involved in an accident before stopping communication.

Police believe Brown may be the same woman arrested over the alleged kidnapping of a newborn in Alabama in 2021.

Anyone who sees the children, Brown or the vehicle should call 911 immediately. Information can also be provided to the Atlanta Police Department at 470-218-5001 or its Special Victims Unit at 404-546-4260.
