A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for east-central Howard County, Indiana, until midnight EDT.

Storm Moving Southeast

At 11:43 p.m. EDT, the storm was located near Swayzee, about 11 miles southwest of Marion, and was moving southeast at 25 mph.

Damaging Winds and Large Hail

The storm could produce wind gusts reaching 60 mph and quarter-size hail. Damage to vehicles, roofs, siding and trees is possible.

Residents should move indoors and remain away from windows until the storm passes.
