A 15-year-old boy has been stabbed and left with “serious injuries” at a school with classrooms put in lockdown.
The teen was knifed at All Saints Catholic High School, on Granville Road, in Sheffield, at about 12.17pm today. Granville Road is currently closed from the tram stop to Fitzwalter Road. A 14-year-old boy has been detained by police.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and helped the youngster while another teenager has been arrested and is now in custody, according to South Yorkshire Police. An air ambulance has attended the incident at the school and dozens of police vehicles can be seen outside.
