Polymarket Reports Major Trading Outage as $2.6 Million Exploit Claim Circulates

Polymarket reported a major outage affecting its Predictions Trading API on Thursday, October 29, placing the exchange in cancel-only mode and pausing relayer actions while it investigated an incident.

Separately, an initial report claimed an address linked to a suspected exploit received approximately $2.6 million from users’ wallets within about 30 minutes.

A statement shared by the Polymarket Traders account said a third-party provider had been compromised, the issue had been fixed and affected users would be reimbursed.

The $2.6 million estimate and any connection between the reported compromise and the trading outage have not been independently verified.
