Metra BNSF trains face ‘extensive delays’ after freight train robbed in Chicago

Metra's BNSF line was at a standstill Tuesday morning in Chicago after a freight train was robbed, with "extensive delays" expected, Metra said. Passengers were safe, Metra said, and the Chicago Police Department was investigating.

The transit agency said BNSF trains were stopped just before 9 a.m. at Western Avenue due to the incident and police activity.
