Man sentenced to 13 1/2 year in prison for stabbing his uncle 8 times in Cumru Township

A man has been sentenced to 13 1/2 to 30 years in state prison for stabbing his uncle eight times in Cumru Township in 2025. Rice was convicted in September of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime and defiant trespassing.

James Rice, 41, was sentenced Friday by Berks County Judge Eleni Dimitriou Geishauser.
