Ross Valley firefighters clear vegetation along key evacuation route

The Ross Valley Fire Department is clearing vegetation along Center Boulevard in Fairfax and San Anselmo to improve wildfire evacuation safety. The project, funded by Measure C revenue, is expected to continue to Oct.

The department recently found that the route needed immediate vegetation abatement to comply with state code.
