Woman accused of running onto DJT airport runway, later arrested with gun at courthouse

A 27-year-old woman accused of breaching a restricted area at Donald Trump International Airport in West Palm Beach pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges connected to the incident.

Summer Jewel Lezcano faces a felony charge of trespassing in an airport operational area and a misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer without violence.

A judge set a plea conference for Oct. 5.

According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office probable-cause affidavit, deputies responded about 5:57 p.m. Aug.

22 to reports of an air operations area breach at the airport.

A Department of Airports officer said alarms sounded at door B238 before a second alert reported a breach at the same door.

At about the same time, dispatchers reported a suspicious person on a taxiway, the affidavit said.

Authorities said the officer saw a woman running toward an active runway and ordered her to stop.
