Tennessee man charged after intentionally setting house on fire, TBI says

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said a Fentress County man is facing charges after he allegedly set fire to a home intentionally.

Fire response and evacuations

29-year-old Clifford Thomas Strunk II was identified as the person responsible for setting the fire while two people were inside the home.

TBI said anyone with information about intentionally set fires should call the Tennessee Arson Hotline at 1-800-762-3017.

Cause of fire under investigation

According to TBI, special agent fire investigators joined the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office in investigating a fire that happened at a home in the 1000 block of N.

Pointe in Jamestown on Monday. During the course of the investigation, authorities gathered evidence indicating the fire had been intentionally set, TBI said.

As a result, Strunk was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated arson.
