Dorset: Woman found dead in home as man in his 80s arrested for ‘murder’

A man arrested on suspicion of murder has been taken to hospital following the death of a woman in her 80s.

Detectives launched a murder investigation after finding the pensioner’s body at an address in Bournemouth, Dorset.

A man in his 80s known to the woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital for treatment.

Dorset Police received a report at around 7pm yesterday, raising concerns for the welfare of the elderly woman.

Officers and an ambulance were immediately dispatched but she was found dead at the scene.
