Man dead after stabbing in Elizabethtown; all parties accounted for

Elizabethtown police are investigating Thursday night after a report of a stabbing left one man dead.

Police responded to the 100 block of Melanie Lane at 6:27 p.m. and was on the scene within a minute of being dispatched, Elizabethtown Police spokesman Chris Denham said.

Upon arrival, Denham said officers located an adult man inside a residence who was declared dead on the scene.

“By 6:44 p.m., all involved parties pertaining to the investigation had been identified and contacted,” he said. “Obviously it’s very early in the investigation, but I am comfortable in saying there are no suspects at large and no threat to the community.”
