Initial reports suggest it occurred at the New Lucky House’s Power Gymnasium on Jordan Road. The blaze was brought under control an hour after firefighters received the first call at around 7:53am HKT. a resident on the building’s fourth floor describes the moment when a fire alarm woke her up to a room full of smoke, before the flames lower down, which forced her to run upstairs to await rescue.
