STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A NYPD officer was injured and 10 people were taken in for questioning after a protest turned rowdy at a migrant shelter in Midland Beach on Tuesday night.

One source with knowledge of the investigation said about 75 people were demonstrating outside the former senior living facility at 1111 Capodanno Blvd. on Tuesday night, although a witness on-scene put the number in the hundreds.
