Following news of the capture of escaped convicted murderer Danelo Souza Cavalcante in Pennsylvania this week, the hunt for another suspect who escaped police custody in Washington, D.C. is coming to light.

Christopher Haynes, 31, was arrested on murder charges on September 6, and escaped Washington, D.C. Police custody later in the day. Haynes has been on the run for a week since he overpowered the officer changing his handcuffs at George Washington Hospital after faking an ankle injury.
Police have provided an image of Haynes in a black shirt and gray shorts passing through a local backyard. A $30,000 reward has been offered for information leading to Haynes.
