LARONDO CONNELL WILLIS, charged with 2nd degree murder in the fatal Crystal stabbing Eddie Winters

LARONDO CONNELL WILLIS, 37, arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder in the fatal Crystal stabbing last week at 32xx Hampshire Ave.

Eddie Winters, 40, was stabbed 19 times.

Possible motive outlined in the complaint: Officers also learned from multiple family members of Victim that Victim and Defendant had a cousin in common that was murdered in April of 2022. Family members stated that Victim was present when the cousin was murdered but fled to save himself instead of helping him. Family members stated that this upset several members of the family, including Defendant.

Willis is also charged in a separate assault in Minneapolis and was already in custody when charged in the Crystal murder.
