The Marriott Hotel along Lower Castle Street has evacuated all guests as fire crews rush to the sceneA major hotel in Bristol has evacuated all of its guest this afternoon (Saturday, March 2) as multiple fire engines rush to the scene. The Marriott Hotel on Lower Castle Street has reportedly evacuated its guests this afternoon amid an emergency incident.
The street is currently closed in both directions as emergency crews work on the evacuated hotel. It is believed that eight fire engines and a ladder are currently in attendance. Police vehicles have also been spotted at the scene.
A witness told BristolLive: “loads of fire engines outside the Marriott hotel”. Pictures from the street show a number of fire engines, with crews scaling the building while people watch from the street below.
