Chelsea: Police released photos of two men accused of chasing, beating then robbing a man of his cellphone

At 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24, a 23-year-old man was in the vicinity of 22nd Street and 7th Avenue in Chelsea when he became involved in a verbal dispute with a group.

Two men from the group chased the victim across the street.

They repeatedly punched and kicked the victim in the head while he was on the ground and took his cellphone, then fled on foot northbound on 7th Avenue.

The victim was in stable condition.
