Two men suspected of fatally shooting man at Northwest Side laundromat

A man cleaning a Northwest Side laundromat is dead after he confronted two men making a mess in front of the establishment early Wednesday morning, June 14, according to officials with the San Antonio Police Department.

Officers responded to the fatal shooting in the 4100 block of Gardendale at 12:40 a.m. According to police, a couple was cleaning at the E-Z Wash laundromat when they noticed two men outside eating and making a mess in front of the laundromat.

The woman walked out of the business and reportedly told them to clean up after themselves and they responded by slapping her in the face twice. Following the encounter, police said the woman retreated inside to grab the man, who walked out to confront them. The man was then immediately shot and killed by the pair, who then fled the scene, officials said.

SAPD, the San Antonio Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Services responded to the laundromat. Emergency services tried to revive the man, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to an article published by KSAT 12.

Law enforcement searched the area for the two men, but police said they haven’t been located. In addition, SAPD doesn’t have a description of the men and the name of the man who was killed has not been released. Detectives are continuing to investigate, KSAT 12 reported.
