Columbia: shooting on Rosewood leaves 1 young man injured

One person has been injured in shooting in Columbia, police say.

The Columbia Police Department is investigating a shooting they say happened shortly after noon Saturday in the 3200 block of Rosewood Drive near Rosewood Elementary school.

Police said one young man had a lower-body injury that was not life threatening and that the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. One person has been detained for questioning.

Police have limited information on the incident but said they will post updates on the Columbia Police Department’s Twitter page.
