SYRACUSE: shooting on 690 Eastbound leaves two in hospital

SYRACUSE

SYRACUSE, N.Y — Two individuals are recovering in the hospital following a shooting on 690 Eastbound on Sunday, June 4 according to Syracuse Police.

The dispatch call came across around 5:00 a.m. Sunday, for a motor vehicle crash near the Teall Avenue exit ramp of 690 East. Upon arrival, police found a damaged car to be unoccupied, and completely obstructing other cars from the Teall Avenue exit ramp.

Shortly after, a 22-year-old woman was located nearby and told police herself and a man were traveling East on 690 when another vehicle pulled up beside their car and started shooting into their car. The woman had a minor gunshot wound to the hand, and is expected to survive.

The driver she was with, a 34-year-old man was found nearby and had multiple gunshot wounds to the face and arm. He was rushed to Upstate and is currently in stable condition.
