Manhunt for killer after woman stabbed near canal in possible stranger attack

A killer is on the run after a 44-year-old woman died following a stabbing today.

Emergency services rushed to an address in Droylsden, Greater Manchester, at around midday.

But the woman died at the scene and initial enquiries suggest the male suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.
