woman killed, man injured near Clifton Heights neighborhood shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman is dead, and a man has been injured in a shooting near the Clifton Heights neighborhood, police said.

The Louisville Metro Police Department said there was a call of a shooting around 2 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of Country Club Road.

Police said when they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound, and she was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police also found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said it is unclear if the victims know each other or whether all parties involved are accounted for.

It does appear both people live in the area, police said.

The homicide unit is canvassing the area talking to witnesses.
