four shot in Dale City home, suspect still at-large

Details from police are limited, but four people were shot Friday afternoon in a home in the 14700 block of Birchdale Drive in Dale City. As of about 3 p.m., police had not yet announced an arrest.

Prince William County police began responding just before 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26 to reports of a shooting at a home in the 14700 block of Birchdale Drive. They arrived to find one person with gunshot wounds outside the home. Another three victims, all unconscious, were then located by police, according to police radio traffic.

All four victims were shot inside a home on Birchdale Drive. One was shot in the abdomen, according to police radio traffic.

Police issued a be-on-the-lookout alert for a Black male driving a black 2014 Ford SUV in connection with the shooting.

Police were preparing a landing zone to allow for at least one of the victims to be transported to the hospital via helicopter. Police had also blocked off several streets in the area of the shooting, including Birchdale and Dale Avenue.
