Drive-by shooting in east Oak Cliff leaves 1 man dead, another critically wounded

Two men were shot, one fatally, in east Oak Cliff on Friday night, Dallas police say.

Officers responded about 9:40 p.m. to the 3000 block of Alabama Avenue, a few blocks from Clinton P. Russell Elementary School, where they found two men with gunshot wounds.

The men were taken to a hospital, where one died and the other remained in critical condition Saturday, police said. Neither man’s identity has been released.
