One man shot to death, another shot critically

A 41-year-old Abilene was shot to death Wednesday afternoon in northwest Abilene, with the suspect in the killing arrested six hours later.

An hour before, a man was shot in west Abilene and taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

There is no immediate connection to the two incidents.

Dead is Eric Tonche, who was found shot in the 5100 block of Capitol Avenue. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Arrested in connection to the homicide was Marvin Kyree Jones Jr., 20.
