Colo. parents arrested after baby reportedly found dead in ‘filthy’ conditions

CROWLEY COUNTY, Colo. (TCD) — Officials arrested the parents of a baby who was reportedly found deceased in a home with several other abused children in 2021.

The Crowley County Sheriff’s Office announced arrest warrants against Jason Soltani and Joy Soltani on April 24 in connection with the death of their baby in August 2021. Jason Soltani was wanted for criminally negligent homicide, child abuse causing death, and manslaughter, while Joy Soltani was wanted for criminally negligent homicide, child abuse causing death, manslaughter, and perjury.

On Aug. 9, 2021, first responders were called to their home to a report of an unresponsive baby, KKTV-TV reports. The baby was transported to a La Junta hospital via ambulance, where it was pronounced dead.
