UK schoolboy, 6, dies in hotel swimming pool near Love Island villa in Majorca
A six-year-old boy has reportedly died in a swimming pool near the Love Island villa in Majorca.
The youngster drowned yesterday afternoon in the pool at the unnamed hotel in the resort of Sa Coma.
He was on holiday with his family at the hotel, a short drive from the Love Island villa close to Sant Llorenc des Cardassar.
The alarm was sounded around 5.30pm yesterday/on Sunday.
Local reports said his parents lost sight of him for a few minutes before he was spotted floating face-down in the pool.
Efforts to revive him at the scene proved unsuccessful.
Island newspapers say the youngster was from Northern Ireland. Police could not be immediately reached this morning/yesterday morning (MON) for comment.
