A stolen truck suspect was arrested Friday morning after leading police on a dangerous high-speed chase through South Los Angeles that ended in a severe crash involving an innocent driver.

The suspect, driving a speeding pickup truck, was seen recklessly blowing through intersections, running red lights, and even driving on sidewalks twice to evade police pursuit. The intense chase culminated around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Trinity Street.

The suspect’s truck collided with an SUV, causing the SUV to flip and land on its roof in what appeared to be a vacant lot. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene, and SkyFOX aerial footage captured a woman being pulled from the overturned SUV. She appeared injured, but there were no other passengers in the vehicle.

After the crash, the suspect exited the stolen truck and was apprehended by police officers nearby. Authorities have taken the suspect into custody as investigations continue.

The incident highlights the dangers of high-speed chases in urban areas and the risks posed to innocent drivers and pedestrians.
