Water Rescue Underway After Vehicle Crashes into Water in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Emergency crews are responding to a water rescue in Franklin County after a vehicle crashed into a body of water late Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred around 8:57 p.m. on E. Weaver Road near the historic Martin’s Mill Covered Bridge in Antrim Township, according to county dispatchers.
Initial reports indicate that the vehicle went off the road and entered the water, with four individuals swept downstream as a result of the crash.
Greencastle Fire Department is leading the water rescue effort, working in coordination with Pennsylvania State Police to locate and assist those involved.
At this time, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
