Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association statement was released Wednesday addressing recent ICE-related activity and political reactions in Minneapolis.

In the statement, the association said that “irresponsible, reckless rhetoric from political leaders attacking law enforcement has real and dangerous consequences for officers on the street.” It warned that vilifying or politicizing officers fuels hostility and places lives at risk.

The association called on leaders to stop inflammatory language and to respect the legal and investigative process, emphasizing support for accountability under the law and community safety.
