Minneapolis Public Schools Closed Jan. 8–9 Over Safety Concerns

Minneapolis public schools closed on January 8 and January 9 following a district decision made due to safety concerns.

School officials said the closure applies to all Minneapolis Public Schools, including in-person classes and school-based activities. The district did not specify particular threats but said the move was taken out of an abundance of caution.
