The quake occurred at a shallow depth of 10.1 kilometers, increasing the likelihood of it being felt by residents in the surrounding areas.
The epicenter was located approximately 8 kilometers from Gemlik, affecting nearby towns such as Orhangazi and Haydariye, which are also within an 8 km radius. While no reports of injuries or structural damage have been confirmed, residents likely experienced light shaking, which may have caused minor disturbances such as items falling from shelves or slight damage to windows.
