Human remains found in Sumner County, signs of foul play observed

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the discovery of human remains found in rural Sumner County.
On Friday May 10, the SCSO responded to the area of 358 N. River Road, in Belle Plaine, after a body was discovered.
SCSO requested KBI assistance. KBI agents and the Crime Scene Response Team responded and recovered the human remains. The remains were transported to the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center for an autopsy.
