Emergency Landing in Patna, Eastern India: IndiGo Flight Returns After Bird Strike

An IndiGo flight bound for Delhi with 175 passengers was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff from Patna this morning due to a bird strike.

According to airport officials, Flight 6E 5009, an Airbus A320, took off at 8:41 AM IST, but returned after pilots detected vibrations in one engine. A dead bird was later found on the runway. The aircraft safely landed at 9:03 AM on Runway 7.

✅ All passengers are safe, and local emergency teams were on standby throughout the landing.
