CENTCOM confirms 6 U.S. service members killed in operation against Iran

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that six U.S. service members have been killed in action as of 4 p.m. ET on March 2 during ongoing operations against Iran.
According to the update, U.S. forces recently recovered the remains of two previously unaccounted service members from a facility that was struck during Iran’s initial attacks in the region.
Major combat operations are continuing, CENTCOM said. The identities of the fallen are being withheld until 24 hours after next-of-kin notification.
The announcement marks one of the most significant casualty updates since operations began. Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
