Tenn.:New scam uses child’s voice to claim kidnapping or injury

LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Sheriff’s Office in Wilson County is warning people of a phone scam involving a person pretending to have kidnapped a child to gain access to the victim’s personal information.

The Wilson County Sheriff said during theseq calls, the scammer indicates that a young child, related to the victim, has been kidnapped or seriously injured, even placing a child on the phone in some cases, to plead for help.
